Agenda
1) Discontinuance of Email forwarding to third party emails
Forwarding process is time-consuming because it results in a new account to be created. Third party emails are not being maintained and can be a liability because of spamers. Manually setting up forwards does not seem reasonable, but it would be great if users could set up their own forwards. IT will investigate if this is possible.
2) Implementation timeline of email retention policy
Were waiting until new server went live, even though the AP has been in place for some time. First email reminder will go out in December. Then everything past 2 years will be deleted.
Associate faculty accounts are deleted when HR sends a notice that associate faculty will no longer be teaching.
Need a resource page with archiving instructions, and other stuff.
3) Continue developing the new Technology Plan 2015-2017 (attachment)
