Julia Peterson helped clarify adult education and non-credit definitions:

All of Adult Education is non-credit, but not all non-credit is adult ed.

The Block Grant run by the K-12 consortium (with CR) covers all of 5 and part of 2 categories.

Preparatory courses held at high schools for students under 18 can’t be funded by Block Grant.

Non-credit courses (e.g., music co-enrolled with credit) are also not part of Block Grant.

Community Ed is not-for-credit courses.

There is still confusion about how we define A/adult E/education and its relationship to non-credit.

2) Determine discussion questions for the campus input session on March 25th.

Questions for Ed Master Planning Input Session on March 25th:

Drill down into topics related to technology, sustainability, positive relationships with the community, adult/community education, and collaboration between departments and programs.

Ask clarifying questions to see what folks have in mind related to these topics and suggestions.

3) Determine questions to ask students, using employee survey as starting point.

Gather short and open-ended feedback from students. Suggestion to use dots; students get 5 dots they can "spend" on various topics they think are most important. Also give a paper sheet with a few questions to solicit whatever input they'd like to give.

Next meeting on April 18th at 10 am
