1.     Feedback on potential focus areas

a.     Pathways (planned courses from Student Ed Plans)

        i.        For ADTs to transfer, for employment, etc.

  • 2 year schedule
  • Rigor of ADTs could mean we need alternatives if they don't get through, like Liberal Arts degrees.
  • Work with HSU to make sure that ADTs transfer.
  • 2 year schedule for each degree
  • Line up Liberal Arts with ADTs as backup.
  • Need technology-enhanced solution for students to track progress
  • Pathway that is not specific for basic skills students
  • Dual enrollment students will want pathways -- want them to come here

b.    Adult & Community Education

        i.        With a focus on non-credit coursework

  • Noncredit for remediation
  • Map adult ed program to credit program
  • Grow ESL
  • Look at work of adult/community ed committee/program
  • Credit

c.     Forming Partnerships

        i.        OEI, AB86, Dual Enrollment, Facilities, Grants

  • High schools - attracting students to HR, offering high school courses leading to a degree.
  • Don't want to focus on new initiatives, but coordinating partnerships/efforts.

d.    Technology mediated instruction

e.    Technology infrastructure enhancement

f.     Improving efficiencies
