Do you have questions about how to use Canvas?
Maybe you’ve been using Canvas in your face-to-face class, and you just want to make it more interesting - or you’re wondering whether you could really make an online version engaging enough for your students to do well . . .
Possibly you’ve been teaching online for a while and want to try some new tricks to spice up your class . . .

Whether you’re already teaching online, or you’re just trying to add some online elements to your face-to-face course, you will find something interesting at the DE Tech Academy. Multiple concurrent sessions will cover a wide range of topics such as:
• Canvas (It’s not just for online classes!)
• Building a Basic Tech Toolbox
• Embedding Materials in Canvas
• Cool Tools
• Video and Multimedia

Dr. Barbara Illowski, Chief Academic Affairs Officer for the Online Education Initiative, will be our guest speaker at lunch and will host a Q&A session after lunch.

The day will wrap up with a Tech & Teaching Showcase from 3:30 – 4:30 where you can meet with your peers and share ideas and cool tips while enjoying yummy desserts.

For faculty at Del Norte, some sessions will be streamed via telepresence while other sessions will be recorded and available for later viewing.

Please respond to Steven Walker by Friday, August 18 if you plan to attend so that we can order the right amount of food! Flex credit will be given for attendance.
