  Education Master Planning Process & Timeline

 

  1. Prepare institutional and environmental data to inform discussions (summer and early fall 2015)

  3. Institutional Effectiveness Committee assembles ad hoc Education Master Planning (EMP) Committee (summer  2015)


  4. Collect feedback from leaders to develop broad themes  (early fall 2015)

    1. Facilitate Broad Visioning Session with the Board of Trustees

    2. Facilitate sessions with external stakeholders

      1. Identify key external stakeholders

    3. Gather input from Cabinet, Deans and Directors


  5. Solicit campus input though surveys , town hall meetings and retreats (late fall/early spring 2016)

    1. Possible questions:

      1. What about CR do you most value and want to carry forward?

      2. What issues would you like to address?

      3. What will define CR as a great college in the future?


  6. EMP committee aggregate responses and identify primary themes/goals (mid spring  2016)

    1. Committee (put together by the Institutional Effectives Committee) analyzes responses and identifies a number of emerging themes

    2. Themes are developed into potential initiatives


  7. Develop  draft of the Ed Master Plan document (late spring 2016)

    1. Include the purpose, planning process, college profile, scanning data, aggregated feedback, strategic goals and objectives, etc.


  8. Finalize initiatives and Education Master Plan document  (early fall 2016)

    1. Gather feedback from BOT, campus employees and the community


  9. Ed Master Plan document reviewed/approved by constituent groups (spring 2017)

    1. Senate

    2. BOT

    3. Other constituent groups


  10. Ed Master Plan goes into effect (fall 2017)
