1) Campus feedback session - Friday, March 25th 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM, refreshments in lobby.

2) Feedback from ASCR.

a) Volunteers for table to get student feedback

  • Steven can volunteer, but not the week after spring break.

3) Review labor market data (attached)

a) Objectives based on labor market review?

  • Del Norte lacks four-year
  • Need short-term certificates for CTE students at Del Norte with block schedule
  • We lack a way of adding a high need program for community. Advisory group should identify program need. AP 4020 looks rigorously at new program development.
  • Should we meet needs of underground workforce (through community ed?). HSU is offering classes in hydroponics.
  • Change work of advisory committee to be reflective of community need & change role.

4) Possible community survey questions (below)

Which local businesses or industries are planning to expand and hire prospective employees or are experiencing a downturn? What additional customized training programs should College of the Redwoods plan to offer to meet the needs of local business, industry and public agencies?
