Distance Education Planning Committee

Purpose

To plan and recommend innovative and creative opportunities that use distance learning to meet the diverse needs of the District’s students; to serve as a resource to the Distance Education department; to engage with and make recommendations to the Academic Senate, faculty, staff and administrators in matters of policy, practice and pedagogy regarding distance learning and technology-enhanced instruction.

Mission

The Distance Education planning Committee (DEPC) serves as a resource to the Distance Education program by engaging with and making recommendations to the Academic Senate, faculty, staff and administrators in matters of policy, practice and pedagogy regarding distance learning and technology-enhanced instruction. DEPC also recommends and coordinates planning for Distance Education resources and training district-wide.

Committee History

The DEPC began in September 2014 replacing the DE Advisory Committee.
